ABOUT SHIRLEY NICHOLSON, LPC, NCC

I began this work in 1999 after graduating
from NOVA/Southeastern University, Ft.
Lauderdale, FL, with a Masters Degree in
Mental Health Counseling. I am a Licensed
Professional Counselor in North Carolina, a
National Certified Counselor, and member
of the American Counseling Association.
Prior to pursuing a degree in counseling, I attended
DePaul University School of Law, Chicago, IL,
and worked in the legal profession for 14 years
in New York and Florida. I did my undergraduate
studies at the University of Illinois.
My professional skills, education, work history and family life have provided me a distinct blend
of insight and experience. I have undergone many of the same stressors that my clients bring to

I help my clients identify their strengths and uncover their unconscious blocks that often sabotage happiness and success. I educate my clients to utilize new coping skills and build on the intelligence and extraordinary power that only comes from within each of us.
